This policy applies to anyone who visits sendyouraloha.com or sealightprintshop.com, or who purchases from us. It describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Our sites and shop are operated by Sea Light Studios, doing business as Sea Light Print Shop and The Aloha Post, based in Hawai'i. Contact: aloha@sendyouraloha.com.

When you place an order, we collect:

• Name and shipping address
• Email address and (if provided) phone number
• Payment information (processed securely by Shopify Payments — we never see or store your full card number)
• Order details and membership type

When you visit our sites, we automatically collect standard technical information — your IP address, browser type, time zone, the pages and products you view, and how you got here — through cookies, log files, and similar technologies. We call this "device information."

If you use the voice feature of your membership, we also collect the audio recording you create (see "The Writing Room & Voice Recordings" below).

We use your information to:

• Process, ship, and support your order or membership
• Send order confirmations, shipping updates, and service messages
• Respond to your questions
• Send marketing emails (only if you opt in — you can unsubscribe anytime)
• Screen for fraud and keep our sites secure
• Understand how our sites are used and improve them, and measure our marketing

Our sites use cookies — small files stored in your browser — to keep your cart working, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use the site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work properly if you do. Please note we do not change our data practices in response to a browser "Do Not Track" signal.

We use analytics tools (such as Shopify's built-in analytics and Google Analytics) to understand how our sites perform. We may also advertise on platforms like Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, which can involve tracking pixels that help us measure our ads and show them to relevant people. This may include sharing certain information (like a hashed email or device identifier) with these platforms for advertising measurement and targeting.

You can opt out of interest-based advertising through these tools:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the third parties needed to run our business:

• Shopify — our e-commerce platform and payment processor (shopify.com/legal/privacy)
• USPS / shipping carriers — to deliver your order
• Our email platform — to send transactional and marketing emails
• Analytics and advertising partners (e.g., Google, Meta) — as described in "Analytics & Advertising" above

We may also share information to comply with the law, respond to a lawful request, or protect our rights. Each provider has its own privacy practices.

Your membership includes The Writing Room (a guided writing experience) and a voice feature that lets you record yourself reading your note so your recipient can hear it.

The Writing Room. The Writing Room shows you prompts to help you compose your note; you write the note itself by hand on your card. We don't store the words you write — there is no "save your letter" feature, and nothing you type is sent to our servers. No account or login is needed; access is granted through the code on your monthly mailer. If you tap the heart to save a favorite prompt, it's kept only in your own browser on your device — never on our servers.

Voice recordings. When you use the voice feature, the audio you record is uploaded to a private, non-public storage area in our app's backend (hosted on cloud infrastructure in the United States). Recordings aren't publicly listed or browsable, and playback happens through a temporary, expiring link generated each time your card is opened. We use these recordings only to provide this feature — never for advertising. We keep recordings for as long as we offer this feature, and you can request deletion at any time by emailing aloha@sendyouraloha.com.

Please keep your own copy. If a recording matters to you, use the "Keep this voice" download option to save your own copy to your device. The voice feature is offered as a convenience, not a backup or archival service. We can't guarantee any recording will remain available indefinitely, and we are not responsible for recordings that become unavailable, lost, or corrupted over time — for example, due to technical issues, provider changes, or changes to the feature. If you want to keep a recording for the long term, please download and store it yourself.

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Ask us to delete your data (subject to any legal obligation we have to retain it)
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in any email we send

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information. Because we use advertising pixels (see "Analytics & Advertising"), some data practices may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law — you may opt out using the tools listed above or by contacting us at aloha@sendyouraloha.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

We ship only within the United States, but our sites may be visited from elsewhere. If you are in the EU or UK, you have rights to access, correct, or delete your information, and we process it to fulfill our contract with you or for our legitimate business interests. Note that your information will be processed in the United States.

We keep your order information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete it, except where we're required to retain it (for example, for tax or legal reasons).

All transactions are processed through Shopify's secure, encrypted checkout. We do not store payment card information on our end. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Any changes will be posted here with a revised date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
